Exposure Group

For kids and teens with selective mutism and social anxiety

First Sunday of every month- Starting Febuary 5, 2023!

Ages 4-14

Younger Kids: Ages 4-9, from 1:00- 1:45PM

Older Kids: Ages 10-14, from 2:00-2:45PM

Does your child have difficulty speaking in school or in public? Talking to peers and new adults? Communicating his or her needs? Seletive Mutism and Social Anxiety Exposure Group can help! Exposure Group will expose your child in enviornments that is made to foster your child’s growth and confidence in speaking with new peers and adults. We will help your child face their anxieties by giving them the space to practice and improve their skills.

Benefits of Group

At Exposure Group, your child will work on mastering the following goals:

o   Speaking with a new adult

o   Speaking with a new peers

o   Socializing in a group setting

o   Using common greetings (e.g., “Hello,” “Goodbye,” Name Introduction, and saying “Please” and “Thank You”)

o   Engaging in spontaneous speech with and peer(s)

o   Eating with peers

*Parents will provide transportation for their child to and from the exposure group location, but will not attend the session.

Location

The Exposure Group sessions will be located in Murrieta. Further information, including exact location, will be provided once child is registered.
